This unique 1974 silkscreen on Ivory Paper, is an unpublished trial proof of a Flower image that was originally meant to be included in the 1974 “Hand-colored Flower Portfolio”. However Warhol changed his mind and decided not to include it. There are only a few examples known. The print is stamped on the verso by both the Andy Warhol Foundation and the Andy Warhol Estate, and is initialed in pencil and inscribed PT O6+ UT.002 by Tim Hunt from the Warhol Foundation. The print is also accompanied by the original certificate from the Andy Warhol Foundation. It is extremely rare to have the original authentication letter as these are often lost and can never be replaced. This gorgeous piece is in excellent condition and is framed (floating in frame).
